Why use session_cache_limiter?

Why would I want to use a session_cache_limiter on my site?
Why would i want a page to expire?
Is this a kind of security and if so how good is it?

Hi

 You should be aware of the sesion and most important cache problems

if you have mail or some password protection information on your site then you must have the cache diabled.

this wont persist the session so for all security purposes user has to relogin if he closes the browser and also the user is tracked throught his transaction
