create GIF

is there any module that creates GIF (not GD >1.6)?

i actually need hex of GIF. is there anyway of getting around it, as GD doesnt support GIF anymore.

i recieve some data, which i wanted to create a GIF out of it, and then use bin2hex().. obviously.

but, now i cant create GIF as GD doesnt support. is there any other way e.g. getting Hex from PNG but in GIF format.. etc?

i will be gratefull if anyone has the answer.
