Force homepage & desktop shortcut

Is their any code out their that changes the users homepage to URL of my choice without the user having to do anything?

to do that you will need client side scripting like java script..I know there is javascript that can change the startup page, but it has a yes or no box that popsup..though I think you can edit the script to not include the popup box. Why would you want to change the users startup page?

Only reason I see to do that is if my boss wanted the users here at work to be set to a defualt page .. so if they reset it, it will be changed back whent hey login to the intranet page.

Yes you are right, it is for our intranet. I work help desk and do some web updates, and I am sick of always changing users homepage back to the intranet. Being that our intranet is PHP, I was just hoping it was a simple sniplet of code I could insert

Oh yeah, and I wanted the desktop shortcut for same reason, then they can always get to it from desktop and it will force homepage.

and the javascript code i have found requires a click, Im trying to find a solution that doesnt require that.

ust echo the javascript into the header of the page. If you find the script i would be more than happy to give you the code to do so. Even though i bet you porbally know how to do it.
