New to design

Although i have posted a message on the coding forum. i was wondering if anyone here can help.

Basically im writting a shopping cart applicaition and have done the main bits i.e. the catalogue etc.. but now i want to put it together into a single site but do not want to use frames. Preferably i would like to use tables but how do i go about doing it? are there online resources available that anyone knows about.

i understand that i may need to use templates but dont fancy that, are there any other suggestions.

As you can imagine, all i want is a nav bar on the right, a banner or main bar the top with more naviagation stuff with the right section as a work space area where files are loaded up.... i know frames maybe the easiest option... but all help would be great.

A table would be a good idea, with the use of IFRAMES not FRAMES for one cell, which would mean that you can change that cell (or IFRAME) without affecting any other part of your page.

And as a table can have one or more of these embedded in it... could be an answer....

yeah, I also always use tables with include files.
Best way according to me unless you use templates but i don't have any experience with that

ok guys

i owe you guys one im checking it now.
I'll also get brushed up with inc files... any words of advice, do theyaffect stuff like header statements?

they give me hassle already let alone having more output before the header statement!

It would depend on what you put in the include file.
If you put

header("Expires: Mon, 26 Jul 1997 05:00:00 GMT");

for example if would affect the header output, but if you steer clear of header info you should be OK.
