create link in a bar chart image

hi i am trying to create a bar chart.

I managed to draw the chart and it looks fine.

There is a functionality I need to apply:
when the user click on the bar, it will link to
another screen where the details of the clicked bar.

The link have to be precise so that it will
know which bar is selected and it should
goto the related screen.

Thinking that if there is any other possiblities
for me to create a link within an image.

As I know that there should not have any
HTML tag within an image, any other clues?

(2) how to create a precise time coordinate within a chart?

Make the bar chart into an image map; I presume you are able to determine the image coordinates of the bars' corners. Between those and the image map syntax, you can make the bars act as links.
