2nd menu depends on 1st

Hello,

I'm trying to create a form where the user selects an option from a menu and based on that selection the options are generated in the second menu. So, for example, the first menu has broad categories like Fruit, Grains, Dairy. If the user selects Grains, then the menu directory below will list Wheat, Barley, Rice, etc. I'm guessing there's some javascript involved here, but I really have no idea....
