PHP Fatal error: Unable to open ... Unknown on line 0

Hi,

I am using PHP4.0.3 on WIN NT with IIS4, and mostly it works ok. But every now and then I get the following error:
PHP Fatal error: Unable to open E:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Dev\Tools & Apps Menu\NPI\links\npi_staging_site\route.php in Unknown on line 0

If I then press the browsers back button, then the refresh button, and try the link again it works.

Does anyone have any ideas why this might be happening?

Update your PHP version ?

Switch to Apache win32 and your problem is solved😉

Permissions all look ok - but surely if there was a problem here, the error would occur all the time rather than intermittently?
I have upgraded to PHP 4.2.3, but the problem still exists.
Unfortunately we can't change to apache, I'm stuck with using IIS.
Does anyone have any more ideas?

Actually you can change to apache, you just download the file, install it, and delete IIS of the face of the earth (IIS = worlds worst internet server)
