Oh jesus i have just realised that im going to have problems with switching servers aswell.

I have switched from a windows 2000 server with IIS to a Linux Mandrake Box with Apache on it, dam it. i have been useing the get method of getting valuse from one form to another with global variables on, and now i have moved to Apache what do i do, cus it is so secure how do i get round this, with out re-writing too much code.

and before you say yes i know global var on is unsecure, but it was in the development stages and i didnt realise. dam, dam, dam.

ANy ideas, or help, because i am well and truly stuck up a creek with out a paddle or boat just a pair of wellies!

i think apache wont have any problem with global variable on, and you can use all the script you used in windows in apache

Linux/Unix -> Windows could give a problem reversed it isn't a problem at all but bu sure to not use paths like this :

\home\apache\htdocs\blahblah
just like you could may used in windows
c:\windows\system32\this.dll

always use / this is the only problem you could run into and the file permisions like chmod on your files you want to execute or write and directories.

the rest could be a difgrent server configuration...
