include file case sensitive?

i have php file including a file name "pnAPI.php" but the file is actually "pnapi.php" on the server and phpthrows an error:

eg: Warning: Failed opening 'includes/pnUser.php' for inclusion (include_path='.') in /var/www/html/pnphoenix/html/includes/pnapi.php on line 366

how do i set apache to ignore case or do i set that in php?

It is the operating system that determines whether filenames are case sensitive or not.

Unix is case sensitive.
Windows isn't case sensitive by default but can be changed to case sensitive.
