PHP and Text boxes

Hi All

I have tried searching loads of sites for help but cannot find a thing.

I have a PHP based form which enables a user to define news items. Simple enough.

My problem now is that the customer wants to be able to switch on bold, italics, bullets point etc without having knowledge of HTML. (even though HTML will be used by the buttons).

Does anyone know where I might find such code etc.

download a message board and check out how they do it, or show he/she to use some basic HTML tags or make something like BB code. (which is a lot like some basic HTML tags)

if you do not want to teach he/she some basic HTML tags or want to make something like BB code, then you have to use JS like on this fourm and have it insert the html for he/she.
