Group Bool data and store to db

Hi all,

I've some question about storage of my checkboxes. My checkboxes will return true if its check. I var_dump the result as follow:

  bool(true)
}

As you notice the food2, ent2, famil and trav2 are just some of those chkboxes which are being chk. Have anyone had any idea how I could store them? I'm actually looking forward to store them in my db field as set, but in what could I group every chkboxes together so that I could insert them into one field?

convert them to a value (like 1 for true and 0 for false)

then create an array and store in text field (1,1,0,0,0,1)

ensure that you account for all possibilities or when you read them back it will get all messed up, so if you have 6 boxes ensure you store 6 values in the array (like above) so that you can reference them back correctly.

But i thought true is equals to 1 already? By the way, that's what I thought of which is to create an array but all checkboxes names are different. The html source:

How should I do it?

i always explicitly set the value to one...i have seen the values for checkboxes come through the url with the value of "ON" so i just set

anyway just concatenate the fields

$checks = $food2.",".ent2.",".$famil.",".$trav2;

echo $checks;
