I'm a complete php idiot but would like to pose a question to the members of this forum. Can I take an existing MS Access database (queries and all) and port it over to a combination of php pages and a MySql database? If this is possible (and/or feasible) how complex would the transition be? Are there programs or scripts out there to accomplish this?
Right now the Access database and queries are used to sort and distribute sales data which comes in from various parts of the country (comes in excel format from various people). Instead of having to wait around for these guys to send the data, I'd like to have a webpage where they can upload the data, submit the data for online processing, and then get the results of their submission (in Excel format) and be on their way.
Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Help?
