Best PHP Newsboard Script for a wrestling site?

What is the best PHP newsboard script for a wrestling site? I would like one like this: http://fhwrestling.com but they use a perl one. I would like the board to display in a similar format as that one however.

List another website as that board has exceeded it's bandwidth limit and I can't see what your talking about.

Well, if you want something without doing any work, and you want a news system (or news board or whatever), then you should try phpnuke... I'd personally make my own =)

I would rather not make my own because I am a PHP noob and I'd probably screw something up and leave glaring security hazzards in. I'd rather not use PHP-Nuke because it causes a site to lose its individuality IMHO by forcing it into that format, and I also hear it is resource-intensive.

You can customize phpnuke so it doesn't have to look just like the phpnuke homepage. I'm sure you could dupe that site u just gave the link too.

Anyrthing with TONs of features is going to be more resource intensive than something thats generic with little or no features.

You need to ask yourself. What do you want? Then your answer will be come more clear.

Well, I'd like to keep my site as is but just add the newsboard script. I just want one that displays pertinent information on the board itself like the article title, author and date, and doesn't have any article preview or anything that congests the homepage. I just want something that runs down the headlines like the one on prowrestlingfans.com.

Thats pretty simple to write. You will be the only one editing the news right? Then protect the page with .htaccess that you use to add the content.

I was messing around and wote this one in about 5 minutes. then left it for dead. My friend Mark was messing around with the css and stuff trying to make it look good. (he failed)

Like I was saying. You can drop a system to show content easy. You don't have to worry about security to much if users don't have access to any forms. All you need to protect is keeping them from passing variables in the URL. (turn globals off)
