MYSQL large field of text

I'm supposed to create a PHP MYSQL page set to have editable information for each of 50 states. One of the fields needs to be quite large and is simple text (HTML) but I can't figure out what field type to use for the largest text import.

Help a newbie? 🙂

Do you mean what data type to use?

I believe you mean "TEXT" data type within the database. It will accept up to 65535 characters.
