replacing strings

I want to replace the quotes in a text entered in a form with " so I can use the text in html ...

Please help

ol yeah because when I posted the code I very cleverly typed " with no space so you really see 3 " instead of """. See why I gotta go sleep? It's vital for everybody

how do you STRIP quotes from text... I often get folks submitting data and WANT to put quotes around it... I want them gone.

I did try the obvious string replace but it didn't like the find

syntax... It error'd for me as well.
