how can I submit a 2. variable with this link?

I'd like to add $head to this link but I don't know to do. I think I have to write the $head outside of ' ' but don't know how to continue after ($page+1).

I'm not sure this is what you're asking, but if you just want to link to the variable $page+1, then this is how you do it the easiest way

<A HREF="references2.php?page=<?php echo $page++; ?>">...</A>
