Imagemagick and fonts on Solaris

I want to write texts on my pictures. Works fine with PHP and Imagemagick under Windows, but not on Solaris. Even if I use the absolute font paths (the X11 ttf or psa fonts)... Help for Imagemagick is really hard to find on the web.

Does anyone know a simple workaround?
