dynamic lists boxes populated from MYSQL database

I really need an example on how to do this....I'm stumped.

This is what I need
<SELECT NAME="test" MULTIPLE SIZE="8">
<OPTION VALUE="dbase value">None</OPTION>
</SELECT>

Also the results page of how to process this would be wonderful!!

Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated!!

Do you want the list to react imeadiatly or just with a submit button?
i build some app in a site with a list generated from a sql base which after you choose some record would imeadiatly display some text from a dbase in a textwindow in the same site...

if you want i could plat this code here 🙂

Also: bastien, I will apologize, but I'm new at php and am trying to learn the connection strings so I'm not familar with the

mysql_query($sql, $conn) <--- the $conn. I've only done the dbase queries.

mysql_db_query($db,$sql);

ok. got it....

for some reason I can't seem to connect with mysql_query($sql, $conn), but can with:

$result=mysql_db_query($db,$sql) or die("Db not available");

I kept getting my dbase was unavailable with it??? Like I said I am a newbie..

BUT... I did get the list box working...

SO A HUGE KUDO TO YA ALL!!!

Now...I guess I can process them normally.
