2 arrays

I try to do this:

$hello = array("Hey!","Whatsup?");
$reply = array("Long time no see.","Nothing much.");
for($i=0; $i < count($hello); $i++) {
echo "You: ".$hello[$i]." \n";
echo "Computer: ".$reply[$i]." \n";
}

but it comes up with:

You: Hey!
Computer:
You: Whatsup?
Computer:

Can anyone help me?

It works fine there, your exact code...

I'm running PHP4.1.2, standard apache install, the only thing I can think of is that your running a much older version of PHP or something.

Incidently, is there any need for \n ? should be fine by itself, is for me anyways.

Just tested your code on my machine, it works fine (nor is there any reason why it shouldnt)

@ jc94062: The "\n" is for a line break in the source code of the page, the " " for a break in the displayed (i.e. interpreted) HTML.

I just like my PHP code nice and easy to read, but don't see much point in making the output HTML nice and easy, that way if someone wants to copy and edit the design or whatever it just makes it harder 😃
