Hi,

I want to make a site for a lan which includes text, pictures and qt-movies in a database (mysql, with references to the pictures and movies off course).
The data will be stored on a FreeBSD server and the clients will be windows and mac machines.
I want to stream the movie data to the requesting client.

Question: which tools do I need to accomplish this besides mysql and php?

apache, a good editor and a whole lotta time.

Doesn't sound too bad.

Video will not actually stream if it's retreiving from db and delivering to client, will it?

I'm not planning to stream from the db but am looking for a way to stream from the bsd box.

any ideas?
