FIX "Missing OCX control" under Windows/IIS

I had this problem on some of my computers but on others not. After searching through the whole web Ive found nothing so I simply debugged the whole PHP .exe installation and found that the control it need is called "comctl32.ocx" - nasty little common controls libruary that is packaged with some of M$ products like office.

You can download and install it from Microsoft site:
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q167/1/21.asp

or get comctl32.ocx somewhere else, copy it to your "Windows/System32" (directory can vary, depends on your system), open dos window and type:

regsvr32.exe comctl32.ocx

Have fun, hope PHP developers include that file in the next release or use out-of-the-box comctl32.dll libraries

I was so excited when I saw this post, as I also couldn't find what to do when the "due to a missing OCX", however, I am still getting that error even after installing it 🙁

Any thoughts? Anything would be appreciated, I just formatted my harddrive, and now PHP won't install (it was working before), so it must be something I can get, I just don't know what 🙁

Like I said, anything would be appreciated, because i'm going insane 😛

EDIT: Got it working, I installed MS word and then it worked, Silly Windows.
