php 4.2.1 and Win 2000 iis

Hi,

Having just had a few problems with my machine I decided to re-install every thing. Now though, when I try and pass variables from one oage to another using the URL the variable doesn't seem to be valid. the example is:-

the link I use is:-
http://127.0.0.1/es.net/rail/class50/class50loco.php?locoNo=50001

I would expect that a variable be called locoNo be available on the class50page.php

but it's not. It says it is an undefined variable.

I have never had any trouble before and would not have classed myself as a newbie - but this has me stumped! Help anyone please?

check PHP.ini for register_globals settings. the correct setting is :

register_globals=on
