Server Help [Please Help ASAP]

I know this is off-topic, but i really need help fast on this one...

Ok i have got all i need now (I think) to make my computer run PHP and MYSQL, while also allowing others to see my work (over the internet to my IP:port)

I got:

php-4.2.3-installer.exe
apache_2.0.40-win32-x86-no_ssl.exe
mysql-3.23.52-win.zip

Now what i want to know is - is it possible to turn Apache on or off at my own will.

I think i understand things correctly.

You install Apache, PHP then MYSQL (Is this correct?). What i want to know is:

Can you choose to start up Apache from just clicking a icon?

I do not want to allow people to access my work while i am playing games or browsing the internet, becasue of possibly taking my bandwith up.

I really need to start work on a clients site soon, please answer ASAP)

Yes, of course you can start Apache from just clicking an icon.

You also can install a personal firewall and block port 80. You also can customize httpd.conf that only localhost can access apache.

Sure.

First, just so you know, I'm not a server expert, but here's what I've found.

Install Apache and make sure it works
Install MySQL and make sure it works
THEN Install PHP 4.2.3 and see if it works

Then configure them.

As for the server, you CAN turn it onn and off at will. Assuming you istall Apache in C:\Apache Group\Apache You would go:

Start -> Program FIles -> Apache Server (or something) -> Apache Commands -> Start. Stop, or Restart.
