Passing META information

Hi all,
Lets say i have the following situation.
I have a php page with META tag information in the <HEAD> area of the page.
How can i get this META information to change depending on the result of an else statement?
I've already tried to place more META info inside the else statement but it continues to show the original data.

Any ideas?
