I am looking for a java script forum for some newbie help? Any one have any good ones to go to?

I can't get rid of this stupid pop up and can't figure out how its been populated! :mad:

You don't need a javascript forum, it sounds like you need a security forum. Has your home page been hijacked also? What site is the persistent popup taking you to? Such things provide clues.

Whatever the case, running AdAware is usually the first defense:

After you install it, check the reference file on the front page and make sure it matches the reference file being used (which will be on the bottom of the AdAware window). Sometimes the new reference file does not make it into the installation packages and you hafta update by hand.

BTW: It probably got populated via ActiveX. Disable that shit.

No it's a demo pup up menu. It works fine when I have I view it from my browser but then when I upload it to my server I get this pop up window. I think It was a way to protect his code. Why give it away then put up a pop up window. Wouldn't have used it.

I havn't found a good javascript forum. Somehow it's using the windows lib's.

If it is a demo window, it doesn't sound like he was 'giving it away'.

You might find some coders that will help you bypass some programmer's script protection, but they will need a lot more information.
