MySql limits

hey, hello!

i have a database with a table for "clicks" in my search engine. so i log every click made [referer, id, time, value of click,... lots of data]. this table is growing like 200MB per month. i would like to hear from those who had such problems:

do i have to worry for the speed when this table will go to 1GB or 2GB or more? i mean with so many records it will probably take some time to do "SELECT COUNT(id) WHERE ... blah blah" while its still pretty fast now at 250MB.

i appreciate useful answers not theory :-P

or file for further analysis... i don't know what you are using it for exactly but that might alliviate any speed issues/concerns...wtih more idea of what it is used for i might have other suggestions

i am storing search engine data... clicks, logs. i want to have all at my fingertips so i can show statistics for this month, last month, 1 year ago...

if possible i would keep everything in the same table but if someone will say that for example it is not good to have tables more than 500MB size because performance will be terrible, then i will consider doing what you said - to move part of the data somewhere else.
