php var's wont work proberly

Can anybody help me,

I've installed php on windows xp pro, and after much faff I finnaly got it working, however variables will not work properly. I cannot transfer vars. from a form i can only specify them for the one page only nor can i type them into the url.

ie.

$number = 12; \works fine
$email = $emailform \this will give my an error saying i have not delclaired the var. but i have in the form previous. i've tried it on other servers to see if its my codeing, but alas it fall down to php and my system

can anybody help?

You have enable_globals = off
Try using $GET[varname] or $POST[varname] depending on the Method in your form.

Thanks, do you know how i can turn them on, i've played around with the php.ini, but with no luck. i've got - register_globals turned on now, but nothing has changed. anymore help to give. 🙁

success: thank jerdo, i just played around with the php.ini and all is working now. 😃
