I want to have a user input a customer number, and when they click submit, have it direct them to a folder residing on my web server that is customer number specific.

ie.

login form is http://www.anywhere.com/login.php

they type in 067351 and click submit and it is now directed to

http://www.anywhere.com/067351/

how is this possible. What is the syntax

Your login form gave me a 404 error.

Basically, though, after you perform whatever validation routine you use you could then build the destination URL based on whatever they submitted then send them there via the header() function. You shouldn't hafta worry about it too much, however, customers are usually not to keen on remembering their own numbers.
