Hi all.

I have recently put together a 'games site' which uses various links to other sites ie:-
main site is 'chello.nl'
phpBB is on 'tripod lycos'
game maps 'supanet.com'

etc etc

The most recent addition is a 'Calendar/Agenda' for team events.
This is hosted on another 'tripod lycos' (php/mysql)

The main site uses frames for menu,header,main (FP2000)
and in general all is ok (phpBB works a treat in frame).

Except that the 'calendar' scripts crashes the frame it is supposed to run in.

I have now tried 3 scripts of various origins and they all work fine in a 'new window' but not in a frame.

I have copied the main site over to another site to see if it was a problem with the host but the same thing happens.

Is there something in PHP that does not like frames ?

p.s. when the site crashs it sends the browser back to the hosts main page.

As far as I know, PHP does not know about frames. Frames is client-side, PHP is server side. PHP does not know if it's called from within a frame.

Since PHP is server side, it has no bearing on how your browser interprets the HTML code it recieves, except that if you have your PHP creating the HTML for the frames, there may be a problem there. Hard to troubleshoot without seeing the code.
