Database form display

Alrighty, I have a little form that submits to the database. I also have a rich textarea there too that allows people to edit to bold, italic, etc. That works just fine. However, when I call a record from the link using

with all the little %s defined as the rows contents, when I display it as a link, the column that I have submitted to the db from the textarea breaks up the link and I'm left with

&day=34.50&quote=32.22" class=0>322.355 <--suppose to be values that I can edit within another form.

All values being arbitrary. I need to know if there is something other than a %s I can use for the textarea's call record, being ins. Like ins=%s, and it won't break up my link and my other values will go towards my edit form.

I'm a bit confused as to what is happening but try Setting the wrap option in the textarea to virtual.

That was the only way I could get it to work. I tried the <?php echo .... ?> in the value statement of the form, but it wouldn't put it in the text or textarea field. I also tried going the $something as the value in the field, but it didn't work either. Finally I tried using the link to add the values to the form field the way I wanted it. It's working the way I want it, don't want to really mess that up with all my trial and error prewoes. 🙂 But now with the rich textarea, the link breaks apart....

I don't think the wrap area will work because the textarea type I am using is like a wysiwyg editor. When it is submitted to the db, it submits as html so when I pull it up into my page to print it is already formatted the way I wanted. This is why the link breaks apart, the php reads the link and when it gets to the %ins row, it reads html with the <p> in there.

It's sort of like this textarea, but different, same concept.

PHP won't add <p> to any string. How do you have a rich textarea? Also instead of adding the content to the <textarea value=""> Property add it between the oen and close tags.... <textarea><?=$textContent?></textarea>
