Terminating authentication

Does anyone know of a way to send a header (or any other way) in a php page to terminate an authentication that was previously created through the use of .htaccess within apache?

In case it is relevant, I'm using Apache, PHP 4, and serving on Win XP

It's not possible.

Only way to terminat the $PHP_AUTH_USER and $PHP_AUTH_PW is to close the browser.

Trust me I've tried a million things, it's just the way php works dude.

Don't give up, you can use a form and call the user, $user and password, $password if you want?

This way you can set those as session variables and then have a sort of "logout" page to destroy them if that's what you're looking for.

(kinda like yahoo mail when you have more then one account)
