Sybase: Unable to allocate connection record in

Hi,

I seem to have a problem connecting to Sybase ASE. I upgraded from ASE 12.0 to 12.5.0.1 and now I receive this error message. Under 12.0 everything was OK.

I have investigated whether the user running apache (apache) can login into the server, it can, so no problem with the path.

I have recompiled the sybase_ct.so library and copied that into /usr/lib/php4

The ASE is up and running. Have I missed anything?

What is the error? You have to recompile PHP since there were lib changes in the 12.5.0.1 release

I found an error in the apache error log indicating the network protocol library could not be loaded. Looks as though I have solved that one by defining the $SYBASE variable in the rc script, as the error no longer appears in the log, I just have a new one in the browser and nothing very interesting in the error log.

Cheers, got it working.

I've cured the second problem now. I had shutdown the ASE to recompile PHP, and restart Apache etc. - DOH !!!

Cool, glad you got it working. Unfortunately ASE users are few and far between here, especially in a web-app setting. If you look for more check out DBForums at http://dbforums.com/f6/ .
