I having problems naming my files .php...

I use my notepad to write the scripts but they all keep ending in txt! How do I make them end in php?

When you click "save as" type in the full name, such as

myPHPfile.php

and then at the bottom select Save As Type -> "All Files" rather than "Text..."

better leave that notepad 🙂 try use somting that supports color-coding

I tried what you said and it still labels it: something.php.txt

I tried renaming it, but I don't have that option when I right click on it.

You should be able to name them as was mentioned rJones.

I would check the file type option as was also mentioned. Make sure it says all file types.

If this fails you should be able to rename it in filesystem by right clicking the file and selecting rename. Remove the .txt

How are you uploading the files? If you are using any useful ftp program, you should be able to hi-light unwanted files and select delete.
