variables and includes & how i hate them.

ok well iv just started programming in php again and i have included a config.inc with all the configuration details on it such as table widths, fonts etc...

how come when i try to use the variable that i have set up in the config.inc, i get this error in the page??

Notice: Undefined variable: tablewidth in D:\wwwroot\Bv 3.2\installs v1.2\install.php on line 130

please someone explain...

hm, it could be a spelling mistake.
Or else, you could be using it before the include("config.php") line
or you forgot the <?php ?> tag in your config.php.

Some of the code would be helpful in answering your question.

Aside from the fact that you call the variable $buttonStyle by name of $Style in your script, no.

It should work, provided that you have a <?php ?> around the variables in the config page.

i have the <?php ?> around the script but it still doesnt work and i am calling it the same now hehe sorry, but dont i have to register it as a global variable?? maybe??

You only have to register it as global if you use it inside a function.
