Hi, i'm sure this has been asked before, but i couldn't find anything specific using search.
i'm trying to install shoutbox on my server (hosted my ultrasurge.com), but the php script to setup the mysql database always fails with a 405 error.
Method Not Allowed The requested method POST is not allowed for the URL /~jcarlos/shoutbox/setup-mysql.php.
Here is the php script. http://www.three10.com/~jcarlos/shoutbox/setup-mysql.php
Any suggestions?
The problem is in the server configuration. Not in your code.
If your the administrator see the apache manual about POST in your httpd.conf
Frag
i have no control over the httpd.conf.
What do I ask my admin to do? - turn on POST in my httpd.conf?
Give him your error and ASK (hehe) him to help you get it taken care of.
Heh when people tell me to fix things }:-)
Be nice or expect the sky to fall.
thanks for the replies...
yeah, i asked him to check if register_globals was set on for my php settings, he said yea. but he kept telling me that it was the scripts fault....
i'll tell (ask) him about POST in the httpd.conf.
thanks again. james
