Simple link creation UI?

Good Morning! (at least it is morning where I am!😃 )

I need to create an interface to allow users to create links to other sites or even mailto: type links.

I was going to create an interface, but then thought that someone has already done this so why reinvent the wheel?

Does anyone have some php and html code that allows a user to generate a link?

look in newbie seciton, there is a post that someone replied to with an attachment of a script that sounds like it will handle just what you're looking for. It's on the first page of posts in that section
