These questions are general basic PHP that is covered in most beginning PHP tutorials. These forums are a good place to clarify misunderstandings or to ask specific questions about code you do not understand or are having trouble getting working, but if you try to learn basic PHP from the forums you will end up lost and confused.
Here is the 'official' tutorial. There might be better tutorials around, but this one has a search function and access to EVERYTHING you will ever need to know about PHP. You need to at least walk through it once, though, so you know what to search for.
