Already Displayed.

Hey... I was wondering is there a way in PHP that if the DB already displayed it it would dismiss it?

Like...

Table with
4 people from Lancaster
3 people from Columbus
2 from Galena

Is there a way that it will just display JUST Lancaster, Columbus, Galena? In a drop down box. So then they can choose which city they wanted to go to? If so how would I go about doing that? I think it can be done. But to my knowledge I don't know how.
