Undefined offset

Me agian - Okay i've only been learing php for a couple of weeks now, and i've installed php on my machine, but some of the programs that i've been learning from my book come up with an error when i run them, it tells me that i have an undefined offset, but the programs run fine all the time, except for the error message. is there something up with my php.ini or what?

Lower the error warnings in php.ini
