I'm doing my site navigation with includes and then includes inside of the includes. I have three basic sections, and a bunch of smaller sections. We'll call the variable of the filename of the primary include 'include' and the variable of the filename of a secondary include 'subinclude'

My site looks like

www.site.com/index.php

My site with the writing section enabled looks like

www.site.com/index.php?include=writing.php

My site with the credo section of the writing section enabled looks like

www.site.com/index.php?subinclude=credo.php
I WANT it to look like this:

www.site.com/index.php?include=writing.php&subinclude=credo.php

But it ain't working. I've tried adding this line of code to writing.php:

$include=$_GET['include'];

but it doesn't carry through. What do I need to do?

i'd try using an echo $_GET['include']; to see what is being returned.

By the way, echo $include; shows that writing.php is there. For some reason, echo "$_GET['include']; returns a syntax error. Why is that? It doesn't address variables from an array in the documentation. Anyway, $include is writing.php
