Hey,
I had this same doubt and nowhere I could find a reply, finally i had called up Red Hat Support and they told me how to:
1)Open a shell session
2)u have to have "root" privelleges
3)Type foll commands at shell:
shell> service mysqld start
shell> mysql
mysql> show databases
