Logical brackets

ello,

Could anyone kindly tell me how I should I build the brackets in my sql statement!
I have all logics [AND| OR | NOT], what they looking for and the field/column comes across from the input page then those are build into array of array! Max of 4 things they can search.

For examples:

(colour = "black" AND ( pet = "cat" OR pet ="dog))
OR this:
((pet = "fish" OR pet = "cat" OR pet ="dog) AND colour = "black")

How do I go about to have brackets in the OR first than the AND!

use some if then statements to fill in the blanks and construct the sql query dynamically

code is not too pretty and haven't tested it but give it a try. it should hopefully give you the idea to expand on it if needed

How about using the "IN" keyword instead of OR?

pet IN ('fish','cat') and colour IN ('red','yellow') ...
