IMAGE/JPEG recognized as IMAGE/PJPEG

When I upload a jpeg, it ALWAYS thinks its a pjpeg for some reason.
php.net makes mention of this, but not the fix.

Anyone know of this problem and how to fix it?

After I copy and then rename the file, when I try to display it, it wont show up. just the typical box with an X.

The file name is correct though..

help anyone? PleasE?

Are you sure you got the right filename? I mean, usually theres no problem with progressive jpegs and they should work.

Sorry I cant help you because for me those pjpegs have allways worked with no problems...

Thanks fo the response, but it seems the problem has been fixed. Apparently i'm a dolt and was saving the jpgs in CMYK instead of RGB. for some reason this effects whether or not it displays on a website.
