Y doesn't header() doesn't work??

Can someone tell me why does my code...
Header ('Location: login.php")
doesn't work??
should i add something in <head>or what??
Or else i'd really apprecaite your point for another way of making ..
a page...after having test whether variable is present in database ..redirect to another page while sending the varaiable 'true'???

Are you getting errors because of it? You can't use a header call after you've output data... check for spaces before your <? tag and any other output...

u have to put the header in the start of the document. no datas can be sent before u are using a header

<? header ("Location: http:\shamil\login.php");?>

maybe this is the problem but it seems too trivial 😉

nevertheless:
in the first posting, you are using different types of quotes (' and ") around the location string.

at the end of the thread, there are backslashes instead of forward slashes.

just noticed it ...
