Hi,
first i read the Annoucement on this forum 😃
but even so i just want to report ma problems trying to install Apache 2.0.42 and PHP 4.2.3 (i ikk put then under B tag, just to be more easy to follow) on the hope some cleared mind will help me out 😛
so i installed apache with enable-module=so and --prefix=/apache
php with --with-apxs2 and --with-mysql
everything fine, i had mysql 3.23.52 installed already,
so i installed phpMyAdmin 2.3.1 and it works fine, everything works fine, i can create delete etc, i can manage my database trough apche and php
now the big problems start ...
i donwladed, phpnuke6.0 and postnuke
i installed both, and they dont work
it gives me an error on include files?!! i spent 2-3 hours around httpd.conf and php.ini tweaking, hacking etc without no luck.. For those version Apache 2.0.42 and PHP 4.2.3 i couldnt find no information. I just found complaing about the suport and saying that they ill donwgrade to apache 1.3.26
so i uninstall everything,
and i tryed apache 1.3.26 and apache 1.3.24, and apache 1.3.23 ...with no luck,
i cant compile at all, on ./configure gives me an error on src/Configuration.acapi <--- or something i cant recall since im at school now.
apache 1.3.26 is for 2.2 linux kernel and since im on RedHat 7.3 i think is cause of that.
Now iv both hands tigth, im knocking ma head on the wall, im waiting for an Angel to pass by,
Is Apache in love with PERL? and mad about PHP?
Am i waiting for a miracle that ill never come? 🙂
i ll just tank you if someone could provide me a link on how to install these 2 apps together, dont need to be Apache 2.0.42 and PHP 4.2.3 but latests versions.
