I think this problem is pretty basic, but I am completely puzzled. Can any one tell me what to do?

I have an html page with three thumbnails. These are pics from persons on which we can vote. My visitors have to click on the person they want to vote on (let's say: John Doe). Then you end up on a form page that says: "You chose John Doe. Now enter your name and submit your vote!"

I created an sql table, containing only 1 column with the names of the contestants. How can I code in this html-form that the name of the chosen person is stated?!

I already have this coded on the thumbnails:

Now, what to do with the form page?

I think you need to revisit your design.

How are the votes collated, I would have thought in the table with the id, name, imagename, votecount

Then when the user clicks the name and passes down the id, the count is increased and the right information can be passed back.
