Clickable Links

I have a textbox and I am using <link> and </link> to designate a link, how do I transform something like <link>www.domain.com</link> into a clickable links? I have found a script that will do it for email address, just need 1 for links now.

Quick and dirty:

preg_replace("/<link>(.+)</link>/mi", "<a href=\"$1</a>", $variable);

look on line 3 for any syntax errors:p

It was a little too quick and a little too dirty!

This is easier:

$var = "<link>www.sportsshooter.com</link>";

$var2 = ereg_replace("<link>(.+)</link>", "<a href=\"http://\1\">\1</a>", $var);

However, look in to the regular expressions on this site...they will help you a lot. Also check out preg_replace...it is sometimes a bit faster.
