Free web hosting with file upload support

Hello, currently I have my site hosted at http://www.tripod.lycos.co.uk. Anyway they have disabled the file_upload, fsocket and even the FTP. So I hope somebody
could please suggest me a free web hosting provider with file upload and GD ZLib features. Thank you very much.

If you read some of the recent threads there are sites like http://www.1337.com who offer hosting for $4/gig and others like http://www.digitalrice.com who offer it for $8/year. So... why the reluctance to pay for the services you get?

At the end of the day, you pay for the services you get from ISP's. More and more of them are offering free hosting - but are very restictive in what they allow you to run/place on their servers. Are you suprised?

Your best bet is to go find a cheap hosting company (www.34sp.com for instance) who charge a minimal amount for the services they offer. It doesn't cost much and gives you a load more functionality to get playing with!

Go to www.bngservices.com/FreeHost-ts.php and I'll get you a small account that you can play with. You can ftp to it and run php scripts if that's what your looking to do. Still in the initial phases so I still allow third party utilities to run ftp clients.

By the way - I am looking for someone with experience on upgrading php and recompiling on a RAQ4. I am willing to trade a full account for help. Any takers let me know
