Converting timestamp to UNIX time [int(10)] fields

Hello,

I have a table with webserver logs, which has stored the date/time in a mySQL timestamp field for a year. However, I'd like to convert this timestamp field into an int(10) with the UNIX time.

Is there an easy (built-in?) way to go over the records and convert these values easily?

First, why would you want to convert it at all?

Second, the mysql manual explains these things: read about UNIX_TIMESTAMP()

This is the key to the solution!

The reason for this conversion is for standardization only. Our website-framework uses the UNIX time everywhere, except in the server logs (it was the first module that I built for the framework). The UNIX timestamps are easier to handle for different timezones.

Now I can straighten everything up like it should be!
