Can't Get data from form.

Ok, this is a pretty silly question, but I'm not sure where to find the answer. I've just upgraded my development server with a recent redhat beta, and I can't access my form data by $variable name anylonger. Everything has to be $HTTP_POST_VARS[variablename] now.

I know this is more secure, but now I have a bunch of scripts that aren't running and I don't have time to rewrite them.

Does anyone know what the name of the directive in php.ini I need to change to fix this? I've dug around without much luck so far.

Take a look in your php.ini file. I think it is the setting for register_globals needs to = on.

I've been having that problem on my windows machine.
I thought I was going crazy!

Actually, it wasn't just limited to HTTP_POST_VARS,
I couldn't get explicit access to $PHP_SELF... had to use _SERVER[....];

I ended up liking HTTP_POST_VARS better though, because I don't have to know what I put on the form...
